Words already get bought. Cloud stopped meaning weather. Friend became a button. Engagement became any evidence you did not leave. Nobody filed paperwork — someone with a budget used the word differently until the old meaning went quiet.
This site adds a price and a receipt.
Every entry opens with a real definition, free, owned by nobody. Anyone can pay to replace it. Nothing is deleted: every meaning a word has ever been given stays on the page underneath the one that is winning, with the handle that bought it and what it cost.
