Refunds
Being outbid is the one thing that is never refunded. It is what you paid for.
Everything else is. If the payment went through and the definition never appeared, if it published against the wrong word, or if it was removed for any reason that was not a broken rule, the full amount comes back. Removal for breaking the rules is not refunded — the rules are printed before the payment.
Buyers in Brazil may cancel within 7 days of paying, under article 49 of the Consumer Code, with no reason needed. The definition comes down and whatever it replaced goes back up.
Buyers in the EU and UK have 14 days to withdraw. Because a definition publishes immediately, checkout asks you to agree that delivery starts at once and that the withdrawal right ends when it does. If you would rather keep the 14 days, do not agree, and the definition publishes after them instead.
Write to hello@natanviana.dev from the email used at checkout and say which word. The money goes back to whatever paid, and card networks take a few days after that.
You can dispute the charge with your bank instead, and a dispute over any of the cases above will not be contested. Asking first is faster.
